Professor Michael J. Donahue is a personality-social psychologist and secretary of the American Psychological Association's Division 36: Psychology of Religion. He has done field work on the development of abstinence-affirming sexuality education curricula, and co-authored a nationwide study on why people give money to churches. He is also the director of the Sommervogel Archive, an online bibliography of references in the social scientific study of religion, for which he was awarded the Division 36 Distinguished Service Award. His research interests include the empirical psychology of religion, determinants of delinquent and dysfunctional behavior in adolescence, and mathematical models of attitude structure and change.
